Partitioning

This is the first time attempting it. I partitioned the 8MB tha twindows wouldn't want to format with Partition Magic. Is it safe to do or could I kill Windows?

If you search threads for partition, there is loooads on partitioniing.

my advice to you would partition what you need and then do a clean install. Windows setup lets you do this.

i dont think you should destroy that

i dont know much but i think that is like some cache thing

It's the 8MB not makeable in the Windows instalaltion. It's not the actual size

it's 8MB of spacecaused by windows creating only one primary partition and then an extended drive to put the other logical partitions in.

the 8MB come after the end of this space, and it's perfectly safe to format it, (but what on earth are you planning to do with that tiny 8MB drive?
