My computer won't boot anymore with new partitioned hard drive. Before my problems I installed my second HD, the computer turn fine. When I was setting up the partitions, I set it up as primary. I had already set the pins on the back to be a "Dual (slave)." When I restarted my computer I get the two BIOS screens as it's loading the HDs, it seems the computer can see both my hard drives are there. And then I get a black screen, nothing!

When I unplugged the second HD, it boots to the correct HD like normal. I've gone into the BIOS and made sure the computer boots from "Disk 0"

Could the hard drive not be compatible? Are there other trouble shooting methods? Is the hard drive broken and stopping the machine from not booting?

Additional Information
My existing HD is partitioned with a C & D drive. On the C Drive I'm running an Windows Server 2003 (SP2). IDE Western Digital 500GB Hard Drive (wd5000jbrtl). I'm running a 7VM400M-RZ Motherboard.
