partitioned hdd

i have a 160 gb hd and it was in partitions when i bought my computer. recently i installed vista and when i got to the screen that said what drive u want to install on i said format c and delete d.now when i go into computer, it shows c but no d drive and c is only like 70 gb, how do i get the other partition back?

Looks like you have wiped it during the install. Check disk management and see what it says in there.

in the search, type "diskmgmt.msc" without the quotes and press enter, it should bring it up.

alright, i got it back but now is there a way to combine it to one drive letter?

with windows no. Google G-parted. its a free program that does partitions pretty well. See if that can combine them for you.
