Default Partition question

When you first put an OS or OS's on your computer, how do you partition off your HD (s)? What is the best way to set it up? Where do you put certain things such as music, movies, software, programs...etc?

Default Re: Partition question

Usually you put all your music and movies on a separate partition to the OS and the programs.

So if you have to re-install for some reason your important stuff, music/movies, is still safe on the other partition.
