Default Partition Problems!

Ive just lost my primary partition and when i try to format it it says its in use.it is not.it doesnt even exist!please help im stumped with this one. ive uploaded a hypercam vid on youtube that should help.

If you are running XP, use fdisk.
You will probably have to do a whole HD setup.

Before that, I'd run chkdsk to make sure nothing's out of place that's causing some odd behaviour, and then try the thing in safe mode if you can do make sure that no background tasks are interfering with it.
