partition magic problems

since i installed vista on both my pc ive been having problems. on my laptop both my xp and vista partition have ??'s by them and i cannot re size them and i get random errors when viewing the properties of them. on my desktop all my partitions, even the xp one are fine except same thing happens for the vista one. whys this and how can i fix it. here is a screenshot off my desktop pc in xp. afaik the same happens when i load partition magic in vista.

any ideas?

First thing to ask is if your version of PM is compatable with vista?

i have pm 8. im not sure. i doubt it was made to work on vista but it still seems to load up in vista and do the same thing.

Take a look here, exact same problem, no solution, apparantly tho its not for vista. I was going to suggest running PM in compatability mode, but its not recommended with any type of system application

PM8 is really old now tho, so its probably down to an incompatability

omfg its fixed. i ran chkdisk on the v partition and it works. a bit fat 1+ rep for raffaz again ... cheers dude
