Partionining

I want to partition my hard drive on my new comp. Do i need a program like sysmantec's partition magic to do this, or can i just do it within windows xp?

Partition Magic allow you to partition within Windows. Really nice to have.

From scratch, I just use the FDISK utility from a boot disk.

if u have a windows XP cd, u can go to the install menu, and hit ienter to install, and when it asks u which drive, u can make a partition out of one of the drives,then jsut cancel the installation, or use partition magic, if its a new drive that came as a kit, it should have an A disc u can use to set the drive up and partition it how u want

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting about that. Just not use to doing that way with the CD.
