i kno that if u have 2 gigs of ram u dont need the page file..well wut happens if u dont use it with one gig a ram will it be faster or slower?
and should i do it?

Some programs still have to have it. Set the max and min to 1.5 times the amount of ram you have.

you know by setting the max and min ram to 1.5 times you have.... dose that mean that your computer dosn't run on its full potential if you do not set it up like that?

No but MS recomends if you lock it at a certain size to use that. I have mine set to 768 on the primary drive with a much larger one on my secondary drive.
Now that will improve proformance greatly.

From the control panel go to proformance and maintiance. Select system. Select the advanced tab. Next screen under proformance select settings. Select advanced tab. At the bottom select change. Make sure you click apply then ok as you exit out. Then reboot.

EDIT> I left out a step and came back to correct it. That should do ya.
