Default p4 overclock

my sis has got a p4 1.8ghz with stock cooling (2 big heat sinks with this over duck and a big ass fan) dam dell
but any way you think id have a prob over clocking that to 2.4 heat wise?

Depends if its a dell your bios is probally locked. Can you get into it and change the FSB?

i haven't tried that yet
i didn't even no if it was worth doing
i gues raising the fsb would raise the temp that much
any way i no bios r locked
i could just use a program like speed fan to over clock couldn't i?

Raising the FSB isn't going to really increase your CPU temps. When you start increasing the Vcore then you'll see your CPU temps jump.

Using a program really depends on if the motherboard supports the in windows overclocking software. CPU-Z your board then search a speedfan database of compatable motherboards.

100% sure its not avaible in the bios you would have to find the PLL

It falls under this one I think. Only thing is I don't know what the IC family would be. Not sure if its correct or not. You could download it and give it a try.

and that program will let me slowly increase my fsb right?
how much at a time u guys think i should increase it
