overclocking vid card and FREEZE lol

okay i overclock my vid card, it starts out at 594mhz for the core, if i overclock it past 700mhz it will freeze for a second and reset to default. what could be causing this? thanks in advanced. o yeah and if i move the memory slider to move up the mhz it completly freezes for going up 1 using ATI Tool 0.27

whats causing it ? my guess is your overclocking it too much,

heating issues? instability? and it could be lack of power.

your pushing its past its limit, simple as. The idea with overclocking is to keep tweaking untill you hit the limit. Don't crank it up 100mhz and expect it to be stable

QFT. Overclock one clock at a time in small increments. Keeping an eye on the temperature. You can use ATI Tool for stress testing.

well it never gets hotter than 64-65 during gaming overclocked or not so i know its not overheating. (yeah it run's hot but what can i do) it runs at 61-63 idle lol
