Overclocking RAM

Right.

I have no problem with my PC Speed. But, why the hell not make it faster? I'm tempted to overclock my E8400, but, RAM has a much bigger impact on speed, does it not? So, I wanna start with that.

I have this RAM on an ASUS P5Q Pro motherboard, any tips on where to start off? I've done some searches, but, I'm not sure how I'd go about doing this without setting something aflame.

Thank you!

I would just clock down the timings and call it a day. If I remember correctly, the RAM can only go as fast as the FSB. Which yours is 333.25 at stock speeds. You could clock your FSB to 400, and leave the RAM/FSB ratio at 1:1 which would have your RAM at a DDR of 800MHz and your CPU at 3.6GHz. Then just time your RAM down as much as possible. That should give you the best performance for that RAM.
