overclocking question

Lol, it doesn't make too much sense. Every computer I build I overclock. I killed a motherboard once, but that was because I set the northbridge voltage as high as it could go to try to get my FSB higher. Those 975 chipsets didn't clock very high.

I agree with Crabbs, you shouldn't be overclocking your PC. You'll eventually run into major problems. It's like flooring a car instead of just whistfully gliding along.

Thats rubbish! As long as you know what your doing, computers can last for years overclocked.

If you start to run into problems clock down your RAM to run it at is rated speed

WARNING NOOB QUESTION ALERT!
How do you over clock? I have read on it and heard people talking about it. As well as read people arguing over it..*ehem*.

Anyway what I'm asking is.
Is this a program you do this with?
If so what?

You can do it with programs, but it's not recommended. If your motherboard allows it, there will be settings in the BIOS that let you overclock. If your computer is a pre-built machine I highly doubt those settings are there.
