Default Overclocking my i7

So far I hit 3.2 pretty easily. I've spend the last couple of days studying the art of overclocking on the x58. I'm going for a max clock of 3.8Ghz.

Update, I just hit 3.8Ghz rock stable. I'm going to go for 4.2 on air.

Impressive stuff! Those CPUs look awesome in every O/C review that I have seen so far. I'd like to see you make 4.2GHz, but surely that's a huge achievement on air-cooling alone?

Well, I just hit 4.0Ghz and.....it's stable! I got a sweet SuperPi score. The temps are really bothering me, even though I'm still 20C under what other people are hitting on extreme overclocks.

na the i7's are highly overclockable especially the D0 stepping i7's which could hit 4.3 and still be stable at reasonable temps. The C0 stepping i7's dont like to be stable after 4.0, heard they start acting funny past 4.0.

Too bad I have the C0 stepping, haha. I can't hit anything at all past 4.0Ghz.
