Overclocking Intel Q6600 and a EVGA Geforce 8600 GTS 512mb

How would i go about overclocking these (Intel Q6600 processor and a EVGA Geforce 8600 GTS 512mb video card) safely? Never overclocked anything before...Dunno how safe it is.

You mean 'Aftermarket'? what do you mean by that

well better yet. before anything. what kinda temps are u gettin at?

if ur not sure. either use ur ASUS mobo CD and install the tempmonitor. or if ur not with asus then go wth Everest Ultimate

Yeah, i never got the computer yet, i've just ordered all the parts... ZKilla you were the one that helped me pick the parts and stuff for the computer. 'Building a Video editing pc' was the thread.

ok well help you somemore when you've got it all build
edit: overclocking my pc got from 12000 3dmark becnhmark points to 14000 . which is one huge diff
and my computers completly stable
