3 words
Lappy + OC = IMPOSABLE
laptops are not ment to be overclocked and will cause it to over heat extreamly fast

Well, not Idiot. I think the best term would be:
Laptop+OC=Impossible

Maybe not impossible, but not the smartest thing to do if you can. Idiot is going too far.

I couldn't see a overclock on a labtop causing much harm as long as your not pushing it beyond the stock voltages. Just take it up a little bit at a time. Your not going to notice really any heat increase until you start increasing the voltages.

It's a bad idea to overclock a laptop. It's even more of a pain to actually take it apart and put it back together again.

u should overclock it to 6GHz without any cooling, and watch it catch fire and cause you 3rd degree burns

Yeah, because all processors can reach 6 Ghz on air...

It's not the frequency that will destroy a CPU, it's the voltage.

yea, maybe if you open the case, and modd it with a tuniq tower.....

but yeah, maybe like 5 Mghz with no real effects, but beyond that, you are sol.
