Default overclocking help

just done a nice simple overclock
nothing big to speed my e6600 from 2400 to 2700
and in games it runs slower
anyone have any ideas?

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
Gigabyte GA965 DS3 Mobo

check the temps?

It's probably the temps and you probably have speedstep enabled.(Not sure if that's the thermal throttling thing for Intel CPU's)
