that was the 680i
the 780i with a new bios fixed all that
and i havnt touched any thing yet
i think im ganna o/c my gpu first

Upping the FSB will increase heat output. The CPU will draw more watts and all those watts will become heat. I think you could still do it on the stock cooler.

70c is perfectly safe for a 65nm Intel quad.

And as for which is correct for the TJmax, it doesn't matter, don't look at the core temps, look at the distance to TJmax, those readings will always be correct. Try to keep them below 30c-35c.

my tj max is 100
im overclocking my video card right now ill let you no how that goes then will move on to some cpu and ram

You should be able to push that 9800 GTX pretty far.. what set of drivers are you using? The newer ones i picked up over at Guru3D let me achieve higher clocks whilst still maintaining stability. You should check them out: http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=268792

okay origanal score was 4796
lets do some overclocking now that i have time!
(driver update helped my score a lot...)

overclocked to
718
1795
1200
score 5115
leave it at that dont want to wast to much power
