Hey guys I just got an Asrock motherboard and overclocked my 3.0ghz to 3.39ghz. is there any way to get it to except a higher speed. Its set at 225 right now and I wanted to try and push it up to 300 but it wouldnt even post at that speed. Am I just poop out of luck or could it just need a bios upgrade?

If it won't post, that means you pushed it too far. Back down until it does post.

What kind of ram are you running?

You might need more Vcore voltage, but watch temperatures. If your ram isnt good enough, you won't have much headroom for overclocking.

yea thats what i was thinking about the ram its only 333 1.5 gigs. But this board wont let me touch the voltages. It bounces around from 1.5 somthing to 1.6 something up and down. front side bus is set at 210 and prime fails. the only time prime hasnt failed is at stock speeds. Otherwise it seems fine in windows and games wiht no crashing. The hottest it has gotten was at 220 fsb at 40c Ive got a monster fan running hard on all times.
