Hey guys, im building a new pc, and i have a 2.4ghz northwood p4, how high do you guys think this could be overclocked stabily?? also i need a good heatsink to do this anything up to 20 bucks w/shipping included in that 20.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835185114 Spend a little more and get this. You might be able to get around 3.2 ghz, 2.8 stable for sure.

well I can get my 3.0ghz northwood to run at 3.4ghz very easily. So a 0.4ghz oc shouldn't give you any problems.

Yeah, I've gotten mine from 1.6 to 2.25.

2.8 will be able to get to 3.8 with a good cooler. Just watch out for sudden northwood death syndrome.

Some notrthwoods are know for randomly dying. I don't know anyone who has had that happen though.
