Overclocking

I am currently running a AMD Sempron 3100+ Paris Socket 754 and the clock speed for this processor should be 1.8Ghz.

I have overclocked it to 2.2Ghz and the CPU Temp is between 25-30 oC. Does'nt really get hot but is this ok to run the processor like this.

i assume it is idle temp. What are the load temps? What voltage are you running through that cpu?

i heard that someone overclocked a p4 to 500ghz, but they had to decrease the cpu voltage like from 1.6 to 1.4 or something, weird.

wtf? That makes no sense.

I would just check your load temps and if those aren't over 50*C then its fine.

Whats load temps? how do i check mine? Ive got a program called speed fan that checks the temps of my pc but I dont know what laod temps are. Is it only with AMD?

Its the tempreture of the processor when it is being stressed. Run a program like Prime95 and look at the temps then.
