Overclocking

weh i overclock my p4 from 3GHz 2 3.2GHz and it freezes sometimes wen on a game, will it be coz its the memory GeIL 1GB (2x512MB) PC5300 667MHz Value DDR2 Dual Channel Kit, iv checked the temp of the cpu and it seems ok, is the GeIL Value DDR2 any gd 4 overclockin?

Go in the BIOS when it freeses and check the temps. We don't want a toasted CPU, don't we?

Your memory is at it's max. I don't see the point OCing it, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Have you tried increasing the voltage? You shouldnt have to though for such a small overclock. Is your memory and processor running on a divider? If its not make sure your memory is running as close as possible to its rated speed.

well wen i overclock my cpu the mem speed goes up, just wanted 2 no if it is the mem that is makin it freeze

could be. Try the original settings for a change.

Yeah its your memory. Value memory willn't run very much past its rated speed. You are going to have to run it on a divider if you want to overclock. Check out 99Nasha's guide for more info.
