Default Overclocking

hey, I have an AMD Athlon XP 2600+ running on an Asus A7V600 mobo with the VIA KT600 chipset. I would like to overclock this sucker since I just got a new heatsink and have 4 80mm fans in my case which keep my temps for the cpu down to about 33c and 22c for the mobo, keeping in mind that it's kinda chilly in the room tho since it's winter.
Anyway, how would I go about overclocking? I have never done it before . Hope you guys can help me
oh yeah, and I'm running a stick of 512mb pc3200 Infineon ram.

I have been talking to some friends, my cpu was running at 1916 mhz, and I bumped it up to 2300 mhz with a bus speed of 400. so basically now I have a 3200
