Default this overclock thing is ticking me off.

well basicly i no my process and my cooler have way more to give me and i cant get it. my muitipluer is 14 and i saw that in bois and i cant change it it is greyed out. i thought BE have unlocked mutipliers. please help. i would like to get my temps above 25C once in a awhile

it could be your motherboards problem, or maybe theres an option in your bios to where you can change to unlock the multiplier.

did you update your bios to the latest one?

Are you sure your CPU has an unlocked multiplier? Then again even if it doesnt you should be able to change it down.

It may be worth going through the mobo settings and see if theres an option that has disabled it

flashing your bios is really risky.
If you used the wrong one, or something happened while flashing, it mich brick your motherboard, and you wouldnt be able to use your computer (wont POST) till you get a new motherboard.

People said its best to use a floppy than to flash your bios than in Windows, and create multiple copies of the BIOS on the Floppy, i forgot the reason why though.
