hi everyone, can somebody explain to me whats the meaning of overclocking a CPU? will it affect the speed of your CPU? and if yes, what are the cons of overclocking a CPU...

1/. Overclocking - forcing a component to run above its rated specification

2/. It raises the speed of the cpu

3/. Extra heat/voltage "requiring better than normal" cooling in most cases, the possibility of damaging hardware, the possibility of voiding warranty

how to do this
simply go into your bios do not touch voltages raise the fsb and slow your ram back down to specified speeds then run stability tests
