Default OS type

is it possible to use a 64bit OS on 32bit computer?

jw....because i cant get windows XP 32 bit to install without getting a windows 32 error and i am thinking of trying to install my windows 7 64bit RC on it to get it to work..

If your processor is not 64-bit then you cannot install a 64-bit OS. There may be another factor, or something else wrong with your disk that is causing that error. What is the error?

i dont remember, but i know it wolnt go back a certain part of the install, an iv tried multiple hard drives, and different sticks of ram, i'll figure it out over the weekend, and if not i'll re post here with the error name.
