The main reason behind dual-cores are to get multitasking that only two execution cores can offer. I don't have one, but from people who moved from P4s with HT - they said that there's no comparison. Dual-core offers them a fluid multitasking experience that can't be beaten. Even for gamers, it's not always just about games as much as it is bragging rights and a fluid computing experience. They get the best of both with a dual-core.
