Hey, Im building my computer, and I wanted your opinion,
ok hear it is

PSU: Thermaltake 420 Watt(HaVe It)

CPU: AMD Athlon 2800 "Barton" Core

yea seriously, the amd64 2800+ only costs like 111 USD.

and mobo's aren't that much more expensive.

SO, you'd be getting better performance, for a minimal increase in price.

and, you'd be prepared for 64 bit WINDOWS baby.
 
Ya, thats the reason i didnt get the athlon64 cause not very many programs utalize 64 bit procs and there isnt even a 64 bit windows out yet....mayb in my next system...thx for you opinion
 
Seems all good but beware when your keyboard runs out of power when you playing a game or something!

Oh my god, how can anyone use an Intel after seeing that? I've never in my whole life own an Intel machine and I don't think I ever will own one if AMD can keep it up and continue to have good pricing.
