Hey, Im building my computer, and I wanted your opinion,
ok hear it is

Case: Linkworld Black/Silver ATX Mid Tower Case(HaVe It)
PSU: Thermaltake 420 Watt(HaVe It)
Mobo: DFI lanparty nfii ultra(HaVe It)
CPU: AMD Athlon 2800 "Barton" Core
Video Card: EvGa Nvidia 6600gt
RAM: Kingston ValueRAM Dual Kits 184 Pin 512MB(256MBx2)
HDD: SAMSUNG 120GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive
CD-DVD RW: Rosewill 16X Double Layer DVD+/- RW Burner
Sound Card: CHAINTECH 6-Channel PCI Sound Card
Speakers: YOMMO 5.1 Channel surround sound
Tv Tuner: SABRENT TV Tuner Video Capture PCI Card FM Radio w/ Remote
Keyboard: Rosewill Wireless mouse and keyboard(HaVe It)

I see you're limiting yourself to the Athlon XPs. You don't want to bump up to an Athlon 64?

yea seriously, the amd64 2800+ only costs like 111 USD.

and mobo's aren't that much more expensive.

SO, you'd be getting better performance, for a minimal increase in price.

and, you'd be prepared for 64 bit WINDOWS baby.

Ya, thats the reason i didnt get the athlon64 cause not very many programs utalize 64 bit procs and there isnt even a 64 bit windows out yet....mayb in my next system...thx for you opinion

Amd 3000+ : 95.192 FPS ~$156.00
Amd 3500+ : 103.486 FPS ~$269.00
Amd 3800+ : 109 FPS ~$630.00
Amd 4000+: 114.342 FPS ~$670.00
Amd FX-55: 115.352 FPS ~$860.00

Oh my god, how can anyone use an Intel after seeing that? I've never in my whole life own an Intel machine and I don't think I ever will own one if AMD can keep it up and continue to have good pricing.
