opinions and knowledge please?

Allright guys, I'm looking to buy a gaming pc in the near future(before battlefield 3) and was wondering on what kind of custom built computer I can get for the same price as compared to this one. Gateway Intel Core i7 2600 Desktop Computer (FX6860-EF22P) : Desktop Computers - Future Shop
I dont have a vast knowledge of these gaming pcs and what is good or not but im looking for one that can push out those max settings on the next gen games like Battlefield 3 etc. I plan to hook up a 2nd monitor in future so I can multitask as well.
I know custom built ones are generally cheaper but since I'm in Canada I gather computer parts are probably a little more expensive? Another thing is that this guy is easier on the budget since i can get no interest for 18 months.
