OpenGL and switchable graphics on the dv7t HP laptop

I have a question about the switchable graphics on the HP dv7t Quad Edition laptop. Now I've looked into the switchable graphics thing a bit and if I am comprehending this correctly it's saying Fixed Mode supports OpenGL whereas Dynamic Mode does not. Correct me if I'm wrong please. But my main thing I don't see on the immediate HP site is if that laptop's GPU has Fixed Mode as a feature. Also how well is the cooling system? Overheat much at all? Thank you.

And just for the heck of it this is what I'm shooting for on specs:
2720QM i7 (quad core obviously)
1gig 6770M Radeon GPU
A free upgrade to 8gigs of RAM. (A bit overkill for my purposes but it's free so why not.)
640gig hard drive 7200RPMs
And the over-sized 9-cell battery

All adding up to 1,285 dollars including my area's tax. Just thought I'd throw that in there. Reviews are great for this one so I'm considering it but it really relies on the switchable graphics and OpenGL. Thank you.
