Default open office

is open office compatible with microsoft powerpoint? i dont have $100+ to buy powerpoint, and I need it for school, so if I made a presentation with open office, would i be able to view it in powerpoint on another computer?

tell the school you dont have pp and they cant force you to buy it or get a zero. but i dont know what kinds of files open office saves to.

yep, just save it in .ppt and itll be fine... that will work with powerpoint. i prefer openoffice over microsoft word any day, exactly the same thing, just free!!

Sweet I was actually considering buying powerpint but now that I know about this I willnt have to.

I prefer open office to all of microsucks office, So yeah

Also Like how Gimp is like a photoshop but open source lol

But hey, I have photoshop off of thepiratebay so Im good either way XP

yeah, i just got it and its great...if i wanted to get powerpoint through dell it'd be like $270..even with a student discount through best buy or amazon its like 120 dollars for word/outlook/powerpoint. openoffice is awesome

Yeah, OpenOffice.org allows you to open files made in Microsoft Office such as word documents, excel spreadsheets, and powerpoint presentations. I also made a thread about OpenOffice.org. Check it out, it might help you out.
