Still though, you want a laptop right? All bets are off there. Dell and HP are pretty expensive though, so it's possible you'll save the 15% buy going with a smaller name.
I would suggest looking at the dell outlet. Don't know what you'll find, but they have refurbished laptops and desktops there with huge discounts, and they have the same warranty and support as new ones.
edit: not much there...it's all core 2 duos. If you want to play games you'll want an i3 or, ideally, an i7.
