Ok in a week or two I will have enough to upgrade my memory to two gigs which I really want to do, heres the problem I cant decide what memory to get. These are some of my ideas:

-G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit System Memory

-OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Platinum System Memory
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820227210

-Patriot 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit System Memory

Or should I get two sets of 1GB(2 x 512mb)? I dont really want to spend more then $230 on memory so what do you suggest?

Well the Platinum Kit, the middle one is the fastest, as it has faster timings, so if you want speed, and overclocking ability, thats the set to go for.

Though, usually 1GB is the standard amount, and you'll find getting 2GB won't give you that much extra in performance, since if you check on the Windows Task Manager, and go to Performance, how much RAM is usually free?

You'll find if you get 1GB, you'll still have about half the RAM left for programs, games to use, and so, is it really neccessary to get 2?

Then again, though, I wouldn't advise to get 2x512mb if you would want 2gig after a while, and so would end up getting another 2x512mb sticks.

Its up to you at the end of the day, but the middle set is definietly better speed wise.
