Depends on how much you want to spend on it? and is it a whole new system, or just a processor?

And what sort of gaming are you going to be doing?

-----

Most would probably suggest an AMD Processor.

A Phenom II x 4 (Quad core), 955 black edition, with a little overclock, is quite favourable at the moment, and will handle a fair amount of older and current games on MAX or high Settings, giving good results.

You said in a different thread that you had a pentium D. A pentium D should be plenty for GTA IV and PS2 emulators. What GPU do you have?

Ouch. There's your problem. Do not get a new cpu until you have replaced that thing.

The best value card right now is the HD 5770/5750. I suggest you look into them. Also, what psu do you have?

Your not gonna get a better processor with 28$

Save up to about 160-80ish and get a HD 5770
