Default onboard video card

im looking at a mb with onboard video and sound...can i put in another video and sound card? will the quality improve? and how good are onboard ones? the mb can suport 4 gigs of ddr2 ram..

providing there is an expansion slot available then yes you can add a graphics and sound card.

Onboard video is very limited if you're a gamer, probably fine for most day to day tasks if you don't game.

Onboard sound is sufficient for most things.

What board are you looking at?
