Default Onboard Gigabit LAN

Currently, I'm having some troubles with my onboard gigabit LAN. When it's connected to my modem, it doesn't work at all, even though an orange light goes on.

The gigabit LAN is from an Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard.

Thanks in advance.
