I used to have ME..DO NOT INSTALL IT..IT IS CRAP..Take your ME disk and use it as a drink coaster or frisbee.

Windows XP essentially comes in three flavors. Home, Professional, and Media Center. There are also Tablet PC and Pro x64 editions.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned a flavor of Linux...

Linux is by far one of the greatest OS's to use if your hardware is lacking. All of the Linux distro's I've used run pretty snappy on my older PC.
