Age of Empires gold works fine for me on vista 64-bit
If anything, try compatibility mode if they don't work, but I think they should be fine.

I play Age of Empires all the time on Vista and 7 x64. It uses so little resources that it shouldn't slow down the computer at all. The minimum is a Pentium processor with a few megabytes of RAM.
