The timings on the G.Skill are faster then the OCZ Fatal1ty and comparable to the Platinum. It also runs at a lower voltage. It's good stuff. We run some G.Skill here and never have had a problem with it.

Only slightly.

Platinum timings: 5-5-5-18

G.Skill timings: 5-6-6-18

Nothing you'll notice in real world use.

Step it up, then. I would go for Intel, but that's solely because I've never been let down by any of their stuff. AMD does cost less. But you pay for what you get. I'm going to suggest a Q8 or Q9 series quad. the Q6 series doesn't have the 45nm/1333Fsb.

Yup, a GTX 260 would be good along with the OCZ 500W PSU I posted up earlier.
