no well they can be upgrade...

i think you misunderstood about OEM and Retail

OEM is cheaper than Retail because no box, no manual and possible no warrenty

well depend on parts... for example... OS then get OEM.. ( you dont need manual nor box!)

OEM is exactly like the retail except for the glorified packaging and additional software. For an OS, all you need is the OEM Windows XP w/SP2.

There are some things retail is good to buy, while others OEM is the better option because of the reduced price. I use Retail on CPU and motherboard mainly because I use all their packaged contents. For RAM, I usually buy retail because there's not a whole lot of OEM RAM modules for sale. If there was for the type I'm looking for, I'll get the OEM version.

Video cards, I tend to go for OEM as well.
I don't care about the individual box/manual (can be printed if necessary), and don't need all the extra software/game packages that seem to add alot to the price.

OEM I believe can be alot cheaper.

OEM = Origional <something> Manufacture

Retail = cool packages and perks that you really wont care about.

Get the OEM version
