Ocing a q6600

yeah and also the comparison charts for stock heatsinks is insane. I never thought that the air heatsinks from other companies can improve that much. Like stock heatsink on Q6600 not overclocked yet idles at 41 C and when you put on the Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme Aluminum Heatsink it idles at 26 C. It is even better than water coolers that cost less than $300

with a q6600, if i OC'd it to at least 2.8, and my temps are good, will I get a long life out of the q6600?

I don't see why not, as long as Vcore isn't insanely high. But if they were, temps wouldn't be good either.
