Default Oblivion troubles

I know this should be in a the gamer forum but i could not connect with the link given. so i just got oblivion. runs fine until i get into combat...then choppiness all over the place. my motherboard is Intel DG946GZIS and i got an ATI Radeon HIS x1600 series video card. 4gb of ram. I run Fallout3 and COD WAW perfectly but Oblivion gets choppy during combat please help thx

It's just a weaker card than what is required. Try turning down the settings or upgrade if you can.

The card works with Oblivion, but it just makes it. Your card is only GDDR2 with 256mb RAM which is pretty low for gaming. You can also tell it's old (not slow though) because it uses an AGP slot. Most new cards today use PCI-E.

I suggest upgrading your card a little, to something like NVIDIA 7600+ or something.

Preferably something that has 512mb or higher.
