Default nvlddmkm driver fails

I'm sure most of you have already heard about this problem, and there have been many thought to be solutions, but I have been searching around and have yet to find one that worked. For a few days when I first got my computer (about a month ago) when I was in a game i kept getting this annoying driver failure. The game would crash and at the bottom of my screen a bubble would pop up from the taskbar. The bubble reads: "nvlddmkm driver failed and has recovered" or something very similar. It stopped happening for a long time but just today it happened again a few times, even when I wasn't in game. If anyone has any ideas as to fixes to download or anything to stop it, please help. Thanks.
