The 9800GX2. Does it preform as well as the 4850's?
Also, whats a good cooler to keep a processor under 35C under load?(socket am2)

9800GX2 > HD 4850 except perhaps in a few games where SLi doesn't scale.

Sit in a freezer?

What's the point in keeping it that cool? it isn't going to have any affect on performance. Max temp for the Phenoms is around 65c.

Your sig says you have the Ultra Chilltec Thermo Electric cooler, which is about as good as the TRUE, I don't think you need anything more than that to keep your CPU at safe temps.

NO for a computer with currently stock cooling

If you're not overclocking, stock cooler will be fine. There is no need for it to be under 35c.

Here's a good cooler for ya: XIGMATEK HDT-S1283. It should keep that 6400+ nice and cool.
THat's way to big for my piece of **** case.
This is my order for the gaming computer that currently has:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ @ 2616MHz
Stock cooling
MSI K9N Neo-F v3
350W PSU(I blocked the fan for this in the end and it doesnt get above 100F!!!)
2GB SuperTalent @ 883MHz
320GB 7,200 Sata Seagate HD
NVidia 8600GT (now works fine with extreme overclocking 720/990 no artifacts :p)
and some other stuff im probably forgetting oh yeah XP Home edition
