The 8800GS is also a very good card. It's only about $160 and performs about as well as a HD 3870. I'll post a link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150275
And here are some benchmarks for it: http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?op...1&limitstart=1

Then you'll need to go SLI with 8800s. I was just pointing out that it's a great price to performance card if you can't afford the 8800GT.

Then there's no hope for you to run Crysis on very high smoothly unless you get a 3870X2 or something, but like you say, you can't afford it right now. So it's a dream really .

Really? I can only run it smoothly on high settings at that res in DX9! But perhaps what you consider smooth and what I consider smooth are different. Shame it's going to be even worse when I get my new monitor which has a resolution of 1600x1200, I'll probably have to turn a few things down to medium .
