Right when they're about to introduce the 9000 series?

From what I can pick out from articles etc, all the 9800 series are is just revised G92s, so the 8800GT is still a great buy, although I do think he payed a little too much for it, they're around for $239 on Newegg etc.

He didn't pay too much for it at all.. The BFG 8800GT goes for $279.99 on the 'egg.

That's a good one too. It's a great performer and has great customer service backing it up. The same can be said for the BFG video card. There's nothing wrong with his choice of video cards and in the end, he didn't overpay for the card he got.

I did, I payed almost $300 for mine, but it was when availability was low.
