I just did a format on a cheesy 10gb WD hard drive then I put it back in the computer and tried to boot up and install WinXP but the message
NTLDR is missing came up. I'm kind of new to all this, so a message like this kinda scares me a little. If anyone can tell me how to get to the next step of installing windows it would be greatly appreciated. Also how do I get the PC to boot from the CD-ROM drive? Thanks Alot.

to get the pc to boot from the cd rom you need to go into your bios and change the boot order to cdrom first, then floppy second then hard drive last.

I had that problem...I just unplugged my second hard drive and it worked again!

ntldr is the apptly name NT kernel loader...
it wasn't found probably ebcause it wasn't on the disk... changing the jumpers on the second old/new disk to make sure it was the slave, and making sure the boot order was set to boot from the masterwould have probably solved this...

is it possible to send the NTLDR to another drive? becuase I want only one hdd in my pc, but my smaller one is the one i need to boot from.
