Default Notebook with 1gb ram want to upgrade hElp.

Hey guys, I have a Gateway ML6721 with the stock 2x512mb ram. I want to upgrade to a 2x1gb. The thing is I don't know much about ram on laptops and dont know what is compatible with it. I never touched any hardware of a laptop before. This is gonna be my first time switching out anything on a laptop and I want it to work. What kind of Ram should I be looking for?

Oh yea btw these are the specs

Try using the Crucial System Scanner. It will tell you exactly what memory you'll need.

Well, if your going to be adding memory to the already installed memory, it would be best to have matching timings and latency.
