Default Not able to use 6GB Ram

I just got my Ram in the mail today. I already had 2GB, and put 4 GB in with it. On my computer specs its only showing 2.75GB. Is there any way to correct this?

If you're running Windows XP, you're pretty much stuck at that.

The maximum amount of memory that XP can support is 4GB.

Yup, x64 Vista will fully utilize the entire amount of memory up to 8GB.
