could be a number of things, can you give me an idea of system specs can it handle Norton (what ever you had) i know its very demanding. and other thing which Norton was it???

ok.. here are my specs:

AMD Duron 1.3 Ghz
Kingston 256DDR PC2700 (333 Mhz)
40 GB Seagate Barracuda
32 MB Nvidia RIVA TNT2 Model 64/Model 64 Pro

i think it was norton system works 2003..

Question - Someone said something about using Zone alarm. If he is running Windows XP, Why? The built-in firewall is good enough and does it's job. Anyone who says otherwise does not know what they are talking about.

Also, this McAffe v Norton crap, It's 6 and half a dozen. They both do their job fine. I personally have problems running McAffee on my network, especially as it decides to block ports without asking me (why do i need this when the firewall does it for me?). It's a matter of personal preference. Even AGV is looking up now (Although I still wouldn't trust it 100%)

I personally prefer NAV2005. I have used it since version 2001 and never had a problem.

Does the job for me (For £8 OEM as well :) )
